I can’t be the only one who loves Ferrero Rocher chocolate. For Christmas this year I got two big boxes of these chocolates! But what’s better than a Ferrero Rocher chocolate? Easy! Ferrero Rocher CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!!!
As a prize for completing 6th grade math, I got a slice of Ferrero Rocher cake from La Princesse, the patisserie (bakery) at the end of our street here in Paris. It looked fresh, and it was. It looked delicious, and it was!
The cake-part was spongey-delicate-melt-in-your-mouth sort of flavour. Which is great. It had a slight bit of mocha, which usually I don’t like, but it complimented the cake.
The “icing” was nothing like the weird dense stuff you get in stores in California (I would say America but I haven’t been all over the country). It was fluffy and light. It was sweet, but not overly sweet.
Combined, it was delightful!

As I think I’ve said before, the people working at La Princesse Patisserie know us, and gave me the BIGGEST slice of cake :).
