Yesterday the snow continued to fall in Paris.  Snow is forecast for today as well.  The streets last night were quiet and are even quieter this morning.   Paris is even more beautiful in the snow but the snow makes it difficult for commuters.

Buses are not running.   Many of the suburban lines are closed or running at partial capacity.

Traffic is quieter.  There are fewer cars on the road and the few that are out are driving carefully.  Motorcycles are not on the road, though a few hardy bicyclists were still out last night.

There are record-breaking traffic jams:  Île-de-France region recorded a record number of traffic jams stretching 700+ km in total as commuters headed home or at least tried to.

Many commuters had to sleep in train stations.  Trains to the suburbs were either shut down or rarely running.
