I never expected to attend a rock concert my first week in Paris.   While visiting Le Petit Palais,  we could hear a concert playing as part of the Journées du Patrimoine in the Place de la Concorde.   Even with the distance between Le Petit Palais and the Place de la Concorde, the music was so loud it was making the windows of Le Petit Palais vibrate and shudder.

So, after the museum, we thought why not? and we wandered over.  The Avenue des Champs-Élysées was closed to cars from roughly where we were to the Place de la Concorde.   I have this love of walking on streets that are closed to traffic.  Oddly enough, it makes me feel powerful… hey look cars, I get to walk here now!  So I took some photos of the streets which were beautiful in the rain.

Then, here we are at the concert.  No idea who was playing, but even in the rain there were a lot of people (young people mostly) enjoying the music.
